Overview

Skro Zdro̠ Kez was founded durring the early 10th century, by Byog̈d Zienra. The establishment of Skro Zdro̠ Kez was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Byog̈d Zienra struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Skro Zdro̠ Kez as a prison colony.

Skro Zdro̠ Kez was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the early 10th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Skro Zdro̠ Kez is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature stone brick construction with most buildings posessing towers, turrets, dormers, and wide wrap-around porches. An extreem emphasis on decorative features and emblishments can be seen even on the poorest of homes and makes even the most humble of structures seem a bit regal.

Skro Zdro̠ Kez is buildings folow an organic layout of spacious baked earthen streets whihch gives the town a shape simmilar to a tree, if one views its streets from above. The town is protected by a humble stone fence which is tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. Skro Zdro̠ Kez's peasent-grade are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

A look around Skro Zdro̠ Kez has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scutteling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Maybe it’s all of those things together, or perhaps it's the way these elements combine with the abundance of schools, libraries, and other academic structures. Locals can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. It’s quite clear the town places a lot of value on education and being a learned individual. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in Skro Zdro̠ Kez long.

It emerged as a movement against traditional, classical styles and sought to make buildings dynamic and fun while breaking the rules. Traditional, conservative leanings were void in this era, with most scholars of architecture agreeing it was a time of “anything goes.”.
